![]() Sara's research has centered around game design and development. She has created advergames and worked creating serious and training games for the military and fortune 500 companies. While at the University of Central Florida, she worked at the Institute for Simulation and Training where she developed CASSANDRA, a non-tactical, team based training card game for the Department of Defense. She also developed SIM CARDS, the framework CASSANDRA was built on. Sara worked as the main game designer on CASSANDRA and also worked on the graphic design and prototyping of the game. In addition to her work on CASSANDRA, Sara researched and wrote documents on possible game interventions for the Defense Acquisition University. In the private sector, Sara and her team developed MySportsPulse a mobile phone based game funded by the Kauffman foundation. The game was designed to teach middle school aged students science, technology, math and engineering through scenarios delivered multi-modally to their mobile phones. |
